Man, these watches are dope. I’m not one to really wear a watch, I use my phone to tell the time, but if I had one of these, I would be asking people ‘Can I tell you the time?’ LOL. I found all of these at Karmaloop, and they range from about $50 to $500. If somebody wants to donate something so my left wrist can look fresh, be my guest. :)

This is DOM KENNEDY’s latest single off of his second mixtape Future Street/Drug Sounds. Personally, I love FSDS. I feel like DOM is bringing back rap & hip hop out the West along with PacDiv and some other dope ass dudes. One of my favorites off FSDS is Hellagood Intermission. My cousin told me it was produced by his friend Polyester and I’m pretty sure that’s him in the beginning. DOM is about to release another mixtape, From The Westside, with Love on March 9. Download FSDS now right here and peep the first single, Of All Time, down below.

Daaaaaamn. It feels good to be back? Blogging? Lol. Nah, it does. I had to take a break from the blog because I have been a tad bit busy with school and work, on my grind, doing something I like to do (working for my school newspaper [!!!]). I had some downtime last night and all I could think was ‘This isn’t right’ lol. Turns out I had something I should have done, but that’s beside the point. Even though I’m busy, I feel good about the things I’m doing. I’m fighting with myself sometimes but it’s all good. Shall I begin?
2010 is officially here. Second month in, I feel pretty good about it. Despite people saying ‘*insert year here* is my year!’ which i think is corny (stop that shit!), I feel like 2010 is going to bring happiness and success if YOU allow it. Don’t hype up what you will and won’t do to other people because then they expect that from you. If you don’t deliver, or plans change, they might look at you differently. :Kanye shrug: Tell yourself what you are going to do. Plot and plan to yourself. Plot to show yourself that you can achieve whatever. Prove it to yourself, and people will see it in you and they will believe in you. They can celebrate with you.
The way I see it, bragging is like an empty promise if you dont follow through. Looking like you are all talk and no action is NO BUENO. That shit does not look good on your character resume. People are judges of character, not how many titles you think you have under your belt.
SO, make 2010 count in YOUR book. Not anyone elses. Live your life and make sure you have fun while doing it because what is life if you don’t enjoy it?

Merry Christmas :)

New music from J*DaVeY, called ‘Crawl All Over’. I downloaded this yesterday and it’s so addicting. I can’t stop playing it. This will be released on Christmas (Dec. 25) on their EP Boudoir Synema: The Great Mistape. Listen here so you can get addicted too.
I like this song. This collab from Shakira & Kid Cudi turned out well IMO. The choreography on the bed… love it. Its different and you don’t see that in every video. I’m glad this was most of the choreography for the video rather than just watching Shakira show us that her ‘hips don’t lie’ lol.

Corinne Bailey Rae is back! This is her new single, ‘I’d Do It All Again’ off of her upcoming album, The Sea, which should be released around the end of January, early February 2010. Spotted this at The Q Side. Watch a live performance of the song down below. (more…)

I like this quote because plain and simple, shit gets old sometimes. I definitely feel that right now.
Friendships, to me, should be beneficial to both parties. Should be semi-effortless to maintain. Should be there when you need them to be, not at one’s convenience.
Yes, people drift apart. Some for the better, some for the worse. This friendship, I’ve had it for a long time, since we were youngins. We were friends all through high school, had a falling out, but that’s a part of relationships of any kind.
::Communication is always key no matter who it is or what it is on your mind.::
I thought the friendship was worth fixing. Over these past couple of years I tried and tried to talk to them, go kick it, make amends, but I never seemed to be a priority to them. I never seemed to matter because I was always ‘there’ whenever shit got sour for them.
I figured that I would stop reaching out on my end to see what would happen. Heard nothing for a while, not up until recently actually.
They contacted me asking how have I been & where have I been… Really? You want to pop up out of the blue because its convenient for you now? Like my mom told me, I don’t need any part-time friends. It gets to a point where you feel used, and that definitely is not a good feeling. So I’m done.
I’m tired of chasing this person to fix this friendship. I don’t need this bullshit anymore. But it’s not giving up; just the realization that it’s no longer worth it.
I can be cordial, but don’t expect me to go out of my way to talk or say hi or invite you somewhere. If I see you I’m gonna say hey but don’t act all buddy buddy & don’t act like you care then when you don’t care now.
Peace & blessings to you & yours. No bad blood or feelings.
And I don’t want this to sound like an open letter to anybody. I just want people to get something from this: You DON’T NEED part-time friends. Do you. Don’t give two shits about anybody else if they won’t give one for you.

… That I got a crush on you! Love this song and video. Such a 90’s video to me, lol. And I love pre-plastic surgery Kim too. I think she’s gone a little to far changing her body and what not because somebody (not sure who) said that she’s starting to look like a little old asian lady LOL. However, this was a good song for Kim’s intro back in ‘96. Kind of disappointed that when I tried to download the album version there were extra, extra Lil’ Cease verses lol. I’m like noooo, the single version please. Anyways… whisper in ya ear, get you all shook up, but don’t blush. Just keep this on the hush.

… Quiet type, people often thought somethin’s wrong. Pac Div released a video for Whiplash & Young Black Male off of their Church League Champions mixtape. I was happy to see it for the first time on MTV Jams, and it is just from their mixtape, not even the album (Grown Kid Syndrome which should be out in 2010). They are doing their thing. Patiently waiting for the album and another mixtape (?) called Don’t Mention It. PLEASE watch the video for the song Pac Div under the cut. They go hard on this one for sure. You should already have Church League Champions…
